One or more of the cartridges have expired. Solution: Use the expired cartridge Press and hold the Power button, and then press the Resume button three times. All of the lights (except for the Power light) will turn off, and then you can continue printing.

One or more of the cartridges is a non-HP cartridge. To use the non-HP cartridges, press the Resume button to continue printing.

One or more of the cartridges are either missing or out of ink.
Solution one: Install cartridges if they have not been installed
Follow these steps to install the cartridges if they have not been installed.
1. Gently pull open the cartridge cover.
2. Remove the new cartridge from its package.
3. Align the cartridge with its colour-coded slot, and then insert the cartridge into the slot. Press down firmly on the cartridge to ensure proper contact.
4. If more than one cartridge is indicated, repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other cartridges.
5. Close the cartridge cover.
Solution two: Replace the cartridge or cartridges if they are out of ink If the cartridges are out of ink, follow these steps to replace them:
1. Gently pull open the cartridge cover.
2. Remove the cartridge that is out of ink. Grasp the cartridge between the thumb and forefinger, and then pull it out of the slot.
3. Remove the new cartridge from its package.
4. Align the cartridge with its colour-coded slot, and then insert the cartridge into the slot. Press down firmly on the cartridge to ensure proper contact.
5. If more than one cartridge is indicated, repeat steps 2 through 4 for the other cartridges.
6. Close the cartridge cover.
